Dr. Matthew Clyde: Your Partner on the Path to Healing and Growth
Welcome amd thank you for taking the time to visit my website! With more than 10 years of experience as a psychologist, I've had the privilege of working in various settings, from university and private practice clinics, to community mental health centers and hospitals. My journey in treating mental health has been driven by a genuine passion for helping individuals navigate life's challenges to build a better and more meaningful life for themselves. It has therefore been my privilege to accompany my clients on their path towards health and vitality, and I thank you for taking the time to explore the possibility of embarking on this journey with me today.
I understand that reaching out for support can be a significant step, and I'm here to provide comfort and support throughout this process. My approach is integrative, meaning that I draw on scienced-backed approaches, and am dedicated to meeting you wherever you are in your unique journey. Together we tailor the approach to meet your specific needs, integrating research-based, ethical, and well established interventions, in a space that is non-judgemental, supportive, and flexible to suit your life circumstances.
My approach also emphasizes collaboration with my clients. I am here to listen and learn about your strengths, struggles, and the intricacies of your situation. Together, we'll create a strong understanding and plan that ensures we are meeting your goals for therapy, and which evolves as we make progress. My role is to guide you towards healing and growth, helping you develop new ways of relating to both yourself and others.
Trust is the cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship. I firmly believe that trust can only be nurtured through our joint efforts to face the pain or distress you may be experiencing. Together, we'll foster openness, flexibility, and a willingness to move forward through your struggles, no matter what roadblocks we find along the way. Through this collaborative journey, we will work towards healthier, more adaptive, and practical solutions to your difficulties.
Embarking on this path with me means you're not alone; I am here to support and empower you as we navigate the challenges of life together. Your well-being is my priority, and I look forward to partnering with you on your journey towards a new and more meaningful future. I am committed to offering psychotherapy and assessment services to a range of clients in the West Island of Montreal (office in Pointe-Claire), or online to anyone located in Montreal or the province of Québec.
